Welcoming Porter County Babies Home

First Things First Porter County is a community effort to support families, healthy beginnings and quality early learning for every Porter County baby.

Healthy Beginnings

Healthy moms make healthy babies. Porter County families need prenatal and postpartum health care. All infants need preventive and comprehensive care including well-child visits, screenings and referrals to services for continued good health.

Family Support

Nurturing and positive relationships are important for healthy families. Porter County families need access to a responsive and coordinated system of social networks, home visiting, developmental screenings and referrals.

Quality Early Learning

High quality care and education is an essential service for quality of life and economic health. Porter County families need a strong infrastructure for early childhood education so they can return to the workplace or pursue further education.

“First Things First is a very important continuum of care and support service for families in need of resources, and having healthy babies and healthy moms in your community.
